The Install Process

The Install process for the Graco Tranzitions 3 in 1 Harness Booster Seat was reasonable. Here are some tips to save you some precious time. It does require some reading and ingenuity especially if you have never installed a car seat like this for your child.

Be sure to find your Car user manual and locate the Harness points and general car seat install. They should be marked on the back seats with a tag in the seats and a slit. Using your fingers you should be able to feel the hook points through the seats. I recommend placing the Car seat behind the drivers seat for a single install. A harness for the main strap should be above the drivers seat in a closed compartment in some cases.

Be sure to assemble the seat out of the box. It come sin two pieces. Place the lower and upper half together on the floor and raise with the backrest in place the lower and upper half will snap into place and become firm. This was not so obvious in the guides and that should be it. Take the seat to the car identify the harness hooks on the Car seats and affix to the anchor points on the car.

After tighten as needed. I find that once you adjust and remove the looseness or play in the harness the seat will be firmly set in place. Your child will also be put in place and strapped in his or her seat and you can adjust the strap as needed with the hidden adjuster in the front of seat beneath the covers. That’s it for installs I found the process to be tricky but not the hardest thing in the world.

Design and Quality

Graco did not skip on the quality for this product. I love the thickness of the padding used which is really cushiony if that’s a word. I love the black color as under some light it does look brown. The plastic portions are really solid and durable. The cup holders are ideally placed and adjusting is very easy as needed. The straps wont snap easily and they include shoulder pads like adjustable pads that move and comfortably secures your child in place.

The hooks or clasps that holds the seat in place are solid metal and clip on over harness points and can hold lots of pressure based on what I have seen. Adjusting straps is also very easy as everything is conveniently placed.

What do I think of this Product?

My daughter falls asleep when shes strapped in and the car starts moving each time without fail. I think that says allot about comfort and I feel so much better driving round while shes in her seat. It takes a little while to get her in but once shes in shes really secured.

Shes tries her best but shes cant undo it by herself which is very important. I have done few hundred Km of driving since and I am please that its ideal to keeping her in place and safe. Sudden stops are absorbed easily and shes not tossed around or anything. Having installed it myself I can tell it was well thought out.

Love the side cushion as well as you can see it can help with side impact if it were to happen. The inner cushion can be removed and cleaned easily. The straps hold your child in place over her shoulders and lower section. I must say I have no complaints so far.

The cup holders are a great addition that I really love as you can keep your child’s juice and you can even fix a snack in place although that’s not the purpose. I would definitely buy this again hands down.
