First 100 Board Book Box Set (3 books) Review
So I was recently looking for a great set of Books for a small Baby that would be durable and teach them the first basics that they would learn like colors, shapes and Animals. My search led me to the First 100 Board Book Box Set.
This set contained a total of 3 books of which you can buy individually but its best you purchase them as a set as its a better deal that way. I must say that I am not disappointed with the purchase and here is why.
The three (3) book Box set:
The Box set comes with:First 100 Animals, First 100 Words ,and Numbers colors shapes. The book in the set are on the small size compared to a traditional book. This is not a problem though as they are the perfect size for a baby. Imagine it as tall as your modern smartphone and as wide as two smartphones placed side by side.
My favorite of the set is the First 100 Animals. The books are really colorful and sturdy too as they are made from a solid board material. Each page has several Animals or entries per page and the makers did a really good job.
First 100 Animals
This book has all sorts of Animals and Babies will love the colorful entries and its child proof as the material can survive small spills and material like food which babies will place on the pages. These should come right off without damage with a light wipe.
The pictures are carefully selected and the name of each animal is written in clear black text. The Animals are even subdivided by region they come from such as the Sea or forest and more. The binding is form and can easily survive a bashing kids will give to their stuff.
First 100 Words
First 100 words follows the same format as the above book in the set with clear written words, Pictures to match. The colors are a match to things such as Animals and objects so nothing is learned in isolation. This shows that much thought was placed into the set which is always welcomed. The objects are also grouped into sets like bath time, mealtime and more.
Numbers colors shapes
The final and most unique in the set is the Numbers colors shapes book. It has a variety of objects with associated numbers to teach numeracy to kids. The inclusion of colors also ties it to Animals, Plants, fruits and more. The variety is also diverse so kids are never bored or shown the same thing over and over again.
Conclusion
I think the First 100 Board Book Box Set is a great purchase as a first book for a very small baby who is being thought the basics. There are colors and Animals to really stimulate their little minds and its better than a Tablet in that at such a small stage you don’t want to expose a small baby to a computer just yet.
Trust me small kids will be instantly drawn to the shapes, colors and captivating design of this book set. I suggest that you purchase this as you cant go wrong. You do get:
