It has a resolution of 1280 x 800 at 189 ppi which makes for a great Video experience.It only weigh 12.5 oz (355 g) in total. The display is crisp and great for even browsing, gaming and whatever else you may use your Tablet for.
Bezels around the front are a bit thick but hardly noticeable when the device is powered up. All the load and processing in the background is handled by a Quad-core 2.0 GHz processor with 2 GB of RAM which should be more than enough for any of the Apps or content that runs on the Tablet.
Media and content
Browsing is very nice with the new components that makes everything very easy and enjoyable on the Fire HD Tablet. You should really love that you can use Apps such as TikTok and even Netflix in addition to the many services from Amazon. This tablet is ideal as a entertainment and enjoying Amazons multitude of ever growing Apps and services.
What I love?
I love that the Fire HD 8 tablet is that much faster and Amazon Apps and services work very well on it. If you have a older Fire Tablet its time to upgrade and the prices have never been better. You will benefit from the performance boost. Also kids will love the many Games and you as a parent can be assured there is plenty of educational consent.
As adults you an expect a really Great consent from the streaming apps, books from Amazon and so much more. I love that everything is all at your finger tips and convenient with a Amazon subscription or account.
What could be better?
I wish Amazon had opted for a larger storage option that’s above 64 GB. SD cards fill that gap but it would have been lovely to have the choice. Also I would love for future upgrades that we have a device with thinner bezels. Other than that this is a really good Tablet for what it does.
