I purchased this dehumidifier because my thermostat kept telling me that the humidity in my home was too high. After doing some research, I purchased this item at first I thought it was gonna be loud and bulky but it ended up being more like a white noise and I sleep better through the night and at the same time the humidity in my home is being handled. I like the control panel as it tells you what the humidity is in the home my thermostat and the dehumidifier are usually 1-2% different which makes me believe that the dehumidifier is doing its job. I had an issue with the auto defrost and reached out to the company and they were able to provide me a resolution within 24 hours via email.My neighbor is the one who recommended this product to me because she uses it in her home she has not had any issues with her item, so I’m sure the defrost issue on mine was just a fluke!

If you buy this one, remember to let it sit upright for 24 hours before you set it up. Those instructions are included but not everyone reads instructions.

I purchased this dehumidifier to replace one (from a different manufacturer) that wasn’t equipped to handle the size of my basement. This unit caught my attention because of the square footage it was prepared to handle AND it had a pump that will have the moisture exit and go up a tube. THAT was the main reason I purchased this particular model.

In the short time that I’ve been using the dehumidifier, I’ve been very satisfied with its performance. It’s very quiet and removes the moisture from my basement which is large and needs a continuously-running dehumidifier… which this model does. I only had to set the setting on it once through the easily marked and lit buttons, and then it began working as I expected it to.

If you have a large space to dehumidify, I would recommend this model for you, especially if the pump feature is something that would benefit you. I don’t go down in my basement everyday so it wouldn’t benefit me to just let it run and fill up the removable water tank as I’d need to empty it daily. And the regular drain hose isn’t practical for me either so the pump feature works for me.

I forgot to mention that it’s on wheel and is easy to move around, using the built-in handle which also makes it easy to handle in case rolling it is not the best way to move the unit.

One more thing: I needed to contact Kesnos Customer Support about a question I had. They promptly responded to me, and I appreciate that in a company.

Hopefully, if you are in the market for a dehumidifier and have a similar situation like me, you will consider the Kesnos Energy Star Dehumidifier.

I am currently using it for dehumidification of a woodworking shop that's actually the three-car garage of my home here in North Carolina. The unit runs quietly and operates as I would have expected. The water tank on the unit is smaller than what I would hope for, quite a lot smaller than my previous dehumidifier. I do like the drying feature of this unit, which helps to dry out residual water left after dumping a full container of water from the unit's reservoir.

We are very happy with this purchase, it is relatively quiet and functions very well once we got past one small hiccup. Customer service is very fast to respond with a shout out to Evelyn (thank you Evelyn). There is a little black or gray plug in the back of the unit (after you remove the screw cap) that we were not aware of that needed to be removed before the continuous drain tube would function. It looks like a gasket that belongs because it is inserted in the tube- but it doesn't belong there. We contacted customer service and they sent a pic of it and that it needed to be removed. After removing it the unit is working really well and we are very pleased. They need to make a note in the comments here or add that to the manual - to remove the gasket. I haven't had to do that to any dehumidifier in a long long time- they are usually insert the hose and you are all set.

This little machine works extremely well and well built. I can't believe how quickly it brings humidity levels down so quickly and maintain those levels for comfortable and healthy living. The only drawback I can see is wishing the water holding container was larger. I got tired of changing it out so I decided to use the hose system and let it drain into the sub-pump, easy peasy. I give this dehumidifier 2 thumbs up as it's a powerhouse without the issues of noise and expense to run. I bought a 3 year warranty just in case however thinking I won't need it.
