I purchased this xbox one for my household. We have always been a family that enjoys new gaming devices and have owned an xbox 360 for many years and decided it was time for an upgrade. The overall design of the xbox one is sleek and beautiful. The controller has a similar design to the 360 but seems lighter and easier to use. The setup of the xbox one is very interesting in that you can have multiple profiles that are much easier to access compared to the setup on the 360. Generally one flick to the left and you can instantly access them. Games and apps at times take a bit to load on a varying basis, depending on how many are active in the background. Which brings to the point the ability to keep your various activities open. You may be playing a game at one point and you have become stuck . You can pause the game, access the home button to the main screen, and then pull up either Youtube or Edge and look up hints and/or tips. Once you have found the required info, you can automatically access the game from the EXACT same point in which you left it. Good variety of games are present both on the marketplace store and in different retailers. Almost all online gaming though requires a Xbox Live Gold membership. This does not limit your other app experiences or your offline play such as download music and movies, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Streaming, etc. Overall an excellent buy with little to no problems present.
First thing I did was got EA Access for five bucks for a month, basically the world's best game renting service. Playing through Inquisition and Hardline now, the only negative is that there is too much to play in too little time.
The one negative is it not coming with the dinky headset. I have a nice set of Trittons, but they are too bulky and wired to just leave laying around. The console would be six stars out of five if they would have included that.
The controller is absolutely heavenly, and I am going to enjoy not having to worry about it being charged EVERY SINGLE DAY!
The Gears remaster is pretty and holds up surprisingly well. I simply have so much to play right now that I have to put it on the backburner. 360 BC, only paying five bucks besides buying the console and having several games to play is heavenly for people with plenty of time for gaming on a budget.
I have had one dashboard freeze and had to unplug the console. The snap features and really quick UI more than make up for it, though. If I could choose one thing about the console I like the best it has to be just how fast the OS is. I would like to know how to upload to Youtube, though.

I was contemplating the switch from Xbox 360 to Xbox One but I wasn't sure it would be worth it, but boy was it worth it ! I can't begin to explain how much of an improvement the Xbox One gen is over Xbox 360 !
Only downside I have with this is how small 500GB really is. I didn't think I'd be lacking GB when I bought mine, considering I played on over 50 games my 32gb Xbox 360.
But obviously, the games nowadays require much more space and you must download a lot of extra content.
If you don't think you'll need over 7-8 games, 500Gb will do, otherwise, you'll end up like me and buy an external hard drive!
Not really digging the digital downloads for everything though as Gears of War Ultimate clocks in at roughly 43 GIGS of data, so if you are limited to 300 GIGS a month a couple of game downloads a month, on top of all your other usage, really adds up quickly. Also having to install everything on hard drive means that the 500 gigs they give you is going to fill up rather quickly.
Fortunately you can just plug in any USB 3.0 Hard drive and I now have 5.5 terabytes of total storage at my disposal. So for the library of games and all the other features, the BONE really can't be beat. No matter what PS4 fanboys might say.
