Great price. Good cookware. RECOMMENDED!
UPDATE 3/14/13 I have to post pictures because seeing is believing. These are excellent pots and pans and as long as you know not to cook everything on high heat, which should be basic knowledge to anyone owning a stove, this cookware will last you longer than most marriages. Thats an unfortunate analogy, but accurate none the less. 9 months and I'm still in love.
UPDATE 12/04/13 I wish more people would have read my review before using this set. Sounds like a lot of people are burning theirs up. I've taking pics of mine after 1.5 years of usage and I wish I could add another star because I think they are so great for the money. Check out the pics for some helpful tips. Thanks!
UPDATE 7/29/16 Can you believe it? I still have all the pots and pans and they still look great. I can't help but think that the bad reviews are just getting it wrong!

I've been using this set for about 6 weeks and am more comfortable with the plain cooking surface now. While I still love the old cast iron skillet, I no longer use the non-stick pans of the past.
The overall quality of the set isn't outstanding, but then neither is the price. It is a good all-round starter set and quite durable. Pots and pans are sturdy and heavy enough, and cooking at low/medium temperatures offers great advantages. The glass covers are a real plus for monitoring the cooking progress. The cover for the Dutch oven also covers the skillet.
Cleaning SS cookware was always a challenge because of spotting and discoloration, but I also discovered "Bar Keepers Friend" (sold here and elsewhere) which cleans well without too much elbow-grease, and a quick towel drying eliminates spotting. The pots and pans look as they did when they arrived.
I will eventually step up to a better set, but for now, I couldn't be happier with this one.
I'd like to mention that the pan is phenomenal as far as it's shape. The high sides make for easy sauces or deep frying if you are into that. The rounded sides are sloped so that cleaning the pan with a spatula is easy. Less splatter mess than my last pans = less cleanup. You could almost wok your food with this thing... almost. Even heat distribution and works great on my glasstop stove.
All around a very nice price for a nice set of economical pans. I'd recommend them to anyone and even write this boring review because I am so happy with them.
**Update** After using these pans for a bit I am still extremely pleased with the purchase. **Update**
***Further update I bought these in 2012 and am still using them in 2019. They have held up so well that I haven't even considered buying new pans***
They're usable and work like you'd expect stainless steel pots and pans to work
However, there were 3 issues that I have with them, which is why I'm giving 3 stars.
Issue 1: After washing the cookware in the dishwasher, I noticed that water gets stuck in weird places. The handles are all hollow, and have very small holes at the ends. After taking them out of the dishwasher, you can clearly hear water sloshing around inside the handle, and it takes a good 30s per item to empty the water out. Even then, its probably still wet inside, but there's no way to dry it out. This doesn't apply just to the main pots and pans but the tops as well - the little knobs that you use to grip the tops have a small air pocket under them, and though it looks to be tightly sealed, after washing in the dishwasher, water got in there too. I was able to dry it out by placing tissues right along the edges, and it drew the water out, but again, it can't dry it completely.
With regards to issue 1, I haven't noticed any negative effects yet (It's been about 3 months), but it's still something that worries me, and I would have preferred it never be an issue in the first place.
Issue 2: The handles look weakly attached. The pot + handle (or pan + handle) is not one solid piece. They are separate pieces that are attached likely by having pressed very hard and used some sort of electrical/ionizing process to almost solder the pieces together. But it really doesn't look solid, and every time I have a heavy pot/pan I'm worried that one day it'll just break at the handle. It hasn't happened yet, and perhaps it never will, but I don't like the situation in the first place.
Issue 3: The bottom of the pots/pans started staining pretty quickly after using. Perhaps it would go away if I got some sort of targeted cleaner, but perhaps I could have gotten a different set of cookware.
Overall: I got it for about $50, so I'd say it's probably a good deal for that price. But if you want something that lasts, well, then this isn't the review for you because I've only had it for about 3 months, and honestly, I don't cook too often (maybe twice a week). But if I wanted something that lasts, I don't think I would have gotten this set.
